CAVITY INSULATION

In principle, cavity insulation can be applied wherever there is a hollow space. This applies to pitched roofs as well as to double-leaf masonry – that is, a combination of an inner and an outer wall with a cavity of several centimetres in between. In houses built before 1970, this cavity often contains only air. This air gap can be retrofitted with a fine blown-in granulate. Installation for a single-family house takes only three to four days. The façade appearance remains unchanged, and virtually no ancillary costs are incurred. With retrofitted cavity insulation, the benefits of double-leaf masonry can be maintained while significantly reducing energy consumption.

AGITEC offers you both consulting and execution from a single source. In the preliminary project, the building is examined, basic feasibility is checked, and a cost estimate is prepared. During the subsequent detailed assessment, including test drilling and endoscopy, the required effort is determined more precisely and a quotation is prepared. Execution begins with checking and sealing air leaks. The cavity insulation is then blown in through small openings of 25 mm in diameter.

CAVITY INSULATION WITH INSUTE 25-Pro

INSUTE 25-Pro is a novel polymer foam with a pore size of less than 100 nanometres. The small pore size gives INSUTE 25-Pro its exceptional thermal insulation performance, which is approximately twice as effective as that of conventional blown-in insulation materials. This is particularly important when the cavity is only a few centimetres wide.
