Personal data (hereinafter referred to as “data”) is processed by us only as necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its contents and the services offered there.

According to Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), “processing” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.

This privacy policy informs you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis of the processing of personal data where we either alone or jointly with others decide on the purposes and means of processing.   • to confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the data processed, to further details about the data processing, and to copies of the data (Art. 15 GDPR);

  • to rectification or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR);

In particular, objection to data processing for direct marketing purposes is permitted.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, provided there are no statutory retention obligations, and unless otherwise stated below for specific processing procedures.

Cookies
a) Session cookies

We use what are known as cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your device by the internet browser you use. These cookies process certain information about you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, to a varying extent.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure, as it enables functions such as displaying our website in different languages or providing a shopping cart feature.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR, insofar as these cookie data are processed for the initiation or fulfilment of a contract.

If the processing does not serve the purpose of initiating or fulfilling a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. In that case, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

b) Third-party cookies

Where applicable, our website may also use cookies from partner companies with which we collaborate for the purposes of advertising, analytics, or the functionality of our website.

For further details, in particular regarding the purposes and legal bases for the processing of such third-party cookies, please refer to the information provided below.

c) Option for removal

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. The steps and measures required for this, however, depend on the specific internet browser you use. For questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser, or contact its manufacturer or support service. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, processing cannot be disabled via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash Player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash Player you use. For questions, please likewise use the help function or documentation of your Flash Player, or contact the manufacturer or support service.

If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

Contact enquiries / means of contact

If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, the data you provide will be used to process your enquiry. The provision of this data is necessary for processing and responding to your enquiry – without it, we cannot respond to your enquiry, or only to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your enquiry has been fully processed, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, such as in the case of a subsequent contract execution.

Contract processing

The data you provide in order to use our goods and/or services will be processed by us for the purpose of contract execution and is therefore necessary. The conclusion and execution of a contract are not possible without the provision of your data.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.

We will delete the data once the contract has been fully executed, subject to compliance with statutory tax and commercial retention periods.

As part of contract execution, we will pass on your data to the transport company commissioned with the delivery of goods or to the financial service provider, insofar as the transfer is necessary for the delivery of goods or for payment purposes.

The legal basis for transferring the data in such cases is also Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR.

General linking to profiles on third-party providers

The provider includes links on the website to the social networks listed below.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. The provider’s legitimate interest lies in improving the usability of the website.

The integration of these plugins is done via a linked graphic. Only by clicking on the corresponding graphic is the user redirected to the service of the respective social network.

Once the customer has been redirected, the respective network collects information about the user. This includes, in particular, data such as IP address, date, time, and the page visited. If the user is logged into their account on the respective network at the same time, the network operator may be able to assign the collected information from the specific visit to the user’s personal account. If the user interacts via a “share” button of the respective network, this information can be stored in the user’s personal account and possibly published. If the user wishes to prevent the collected information from being directly assigned to their personal account, they must log out before clicking the graphic. There is also the option to configure the respective user account accordingly.

The following social networks are linked by the provider:

LinkedIn

LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, a subsidiary of LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

The Google Analytics service is used to analyse the usage behaviour of our website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in analysing, optimising, and operating our website in an economically efficient manner.

Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time, or frequency of visits to our website, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymisation function. This function shortens the IP address within the EU or the EEA before it is transferred to the USA.

The data collected in this way is used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of visits to our website and of the usage activities taking place there. This data may also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and internet usage in general.

Google states that it will not associate your IP address with other data. In addition, Google provides further information on data protection at:

https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners

This includes information on how to prevent the use of your data.

Google also offers a so-called deactivation add-on, along with further information, at:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

This add-on can be installed in common internet browsers and gives you more control over the data that Google collects when you access our website. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services. Details of any other web analytics services we use can also be found in this privacy policy.

Google-Maps

We use Google Maps on our website to display our location and to create directions. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection to a Google server in the USA is established when our website is accessed.

If you call up the Google Maps component embedded in our website, Google stores a cookie on your device via your internet browser. Your user settings and data are processed to display our location and create directions. In doing so, we cannot rule out that Google uses servers in the USA.

If you have given consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. The legal basis may also be Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, with our legitimate interest being the optimisation of the functionality of our website.

Through the connection to Google thus established, Google can determine from which website your request has been sent and to which IP address the directions are to be transmitted.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by adjusting the relevant settings in your internet browser. Details on this can be found above under the section “Cookies.”

Furthermore, the use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps is subject to the Google Terms of Service and the additional Terms of Service for Google Maps.
