Vacuum Insulation for Technical & Industrial Applications

va-Q-vip
va-Q-vip is a microporous insulation material based on pyrogenic silica powder. va-Q-vip elements feature smooth edges and corners due to their special foil-folding technique (va-Q-seam), allowing individual elements to be joined seamlessly. While rectangular panels are generally produced, special shapes (trapezoids, triangles, corner cut-outs) are available upon request.

va-Q-plus

va-Q-plus, the second-generation vacuum insulation panel, is a microporous vacuum insulation board based on fumed silica. This high-tech panel is manufactured on state-of-the-art, self-developed production lines. The specially formulated powder core material, optimized for higher temperatures, together with the specially developed film technology, ensures outstanding insulation performance not only at the beginning but throughout the product’s entire service life. Typical applications include hot water storage tanks, district heating pipes, laboratory equipment, and the automotive sector.

va-Q-pro

In addition to its outstanding thermal conductivity of 0.0035 W/mK, va-Q-pro offers two- and three-dimensional freeform shapes that, combined with its mechanical production process, are unique in the market. Round shapes, angled 3D formats, folding boxes, cut-outs, and feed-throughs, as well as many other variations, complement conventional rectangular vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) such as va-Q-plus to provide energy-efficient high-performance insulation. Thanks to this exceptional flexibility, va-Q-pro technology is used in applications with complex requirements. Typical examples include the insulation of vehicles, aircraft, refrigeration units, machinery, thermal boxes, and hot water storage tanks.

va-Q-steel

va-Q-steel, the latest innovation in vacuum insulation panels, is made from pyrogenic silica (silica) for use in both extremely low and extremely high temperature applications. This panel is produced using a completely new and unique manufacturing process. The stainless steel foil used offers significant advantages in terms of mechanical strength and ensures outstanding performance throughout the product’s entire service life. In addition, va-Q-steel is composed of non-combustible materials.
Typical applications include furnaces, battery insulation, laboratory equipment, and the construction industry.

DOCUMENTS
va-Q-shell

va-Q-shell is a custom-designed hard-shell insulation system for hot water tanks, developed to achieve energy labels A and A+ in accordance with EU Regulation 812/2013. It essentially consists of two PU half-shells with integrated vacuum insulation panels (VIPs), which are joined together using a tongue-and-groove system. va-Q-shell is individually adapted to fit a wide variety of hot water tank shapes. Cut-outs for pipes, inspection flanges, and other connections are provided, as well as mounting plates or fixtures for technical components such as displays, sensors, or external heat exchangers.

DOCUMENTS
va-Q-patch

The va-Q-patch insulation system consists of a highly insulating vacuum insulation panel (VIP) integrated into a double-sided, full-surface polyethylene (PE) foam lamination. It is primarily used as high-performance thermal insulation for hot water tanks to achieve energy label A or A+ in accordance with EU Regulation 812/2013.

The standard design includes a few-millimeter-thick, self-adhesive PE foam layer on the tank side, serving as protection against, for example, welding defects or metal shavings, and ensuring excellent adhesion to the tank. va-Q-patch is delivered space-saving in a flat state and is only wrapped around the tank during on-site installation. It can be applied as an additional high-performance insulation layer, for example, underneath a conventional polyester fleece insulation.
